Easy High-Protein Chocolate Mousse

  • Author: Luna

Description

A smooth, no-bake chocolate dairy dessert made without protein powder. Suggested formula; not kitchen-tested here.

Prep: 10 minutes | Chill: 30–60 minutes | Servings: 2

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup low-fat cottage cheese
  • ½ cup plain nonfat Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup, or suitable powdered sweetener to taste
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1–2 tablespoons milk, only as needed
  • Optional toppings: berries, shaved chocolate, or whipped topping

Instructions

  1. Blend cottage cheese and yogurt until completely smooth, scraping as needed.
  2. Add cocoa, sweetener, and vanilla. Blend until uniform.
  3. Let stand briefly, then taste and adjust sweetness.
  4. Add milk only by teaspoons if needed for blending. Keep the mixture thick and spoonable.
  5. Divide into two cups, cover, and refrigerate for 30–60 minutes.
  6. Add optional toppings just before serving.

Storage: Refrigerate covered for up to 3 days. Freezing is not recommended for the intended texture.

Illustrative nutrition: Approximately 200–240 calories and 18–22 grams protein per portion with maple syrup, excluding toppings. A suitable noncaloric sweetener changes the estimate.
