- 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
- 15 oz ricotta cheese
- 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain.
- Mix ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
- Combine the pasta and half the marinara sauce, coating everything.
- Layer half of the remaining marinara sauce in a greased baking dish, followed by the pasta mixture.
- Top with the rest of the marinara sauce.
- Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden-brown and bubbly.
- Cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
For added protein, consider mixing in cooked chicken or sausage. Can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
