Description

A comforting pasta bake filled with creamy ricotta cheese, fresh spinach, and marinara sauce, topped with melted mozzarella and Parmesan for a delicious family meal.


Ingredients

  • 8 oz pasta (penne or rigatoni)
  • 15 oz ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the pasta in salted water until al dente, then drain.
  3. Mix ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper in a bowl.
  4. Combine the pasta and half the marinara sauce, coating everything.
  5. Layer half of the remaining marinara sauce in a greased baking dish, followed by the pasta mixture.
  6. Top with the rest of the marinara sauce.
  7. Sprinkle mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  8. Bake for 25-30 minutes until golden-brown and bubbly.
  9. Cool for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

For added protein, consider mixing in cooked chicken or sausage. Can be prepared in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
