Ingredients

  • 1 teaspoon baking powder

  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. Combine the diced apples with cinnamon and set aside.
  3. Whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, and salt in another bowl.
  4. Mix the melted butter, milk, egg, and vanilla extract in a separate bowl.
  5. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  6. Spread half of the batter in a greased baking dish, top with spiced apples, and dollop the remaining batter over the apples.
  7. Bake for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and set.
  8. Let cool slightly before serving.
