Description

A rich chocolate cake infused with creamy cookies and cream pudding, topped with whipped cream and crushed Oreos for a nostalgic dessert experience.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 box chocolate cake mix
  • 1 can cookies and cream pudding mix
  • 3 cups milk
  • 1 container whipped cream
  • 1 cup crushed Oreo cookies

Instructions

  1. Bake the chocolate cake according to package instructions, pouring the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan. Bake until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, and let the cake cool completely on a wire rack.
  2. Poke holes in the cake: Once cooled, take a fork and poke holes all over the top of the cake.
  3. Prepare the pudding: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the cookies and cream pudding mix and milk until smooth and thickened, about 2 minutes.
  4. Soak the cake: Pour the pudding mixture over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
  5. Refrigerate the cake: Cover with plastic wrap or foil, and chill in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours.
  6. Finish with toppings: Spread the whipped cream over the top of the cake and sprinkle with crushed Oreo cookies.

Notes

Best made a day ahead for improved flavor. Store leftovers in the refrigerator for 3-4 days.
