- 1 tablespoon baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 1/2 cups buttermilk
- 1/4 cup melted butter
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Whisk together the flour, sugar, salt, baking powder, and baking soda in a large bowl.
- Add the buttermilk and melted butter, stirring gently until just combined.
- Scoop the dough into a greased muffin tin, filling each cup halfway.
- Bake for 18-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Remove from the oven and brush with melted butter.
- Let cool slightly before serving.
Notes
For make-ahead, prepare the dough the night before and refrigerate. Use regular milk with vinegar or lemon juice if buttermilk isn’t available.
