Description

A delicious and nutritious chocolate banana bread loaded with protein, perfect for breakfast or a snack.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 3 ripe bananas
  • 1 cup cocoa powder
  • 1 scoop protein powder
  • 1/2 cup almond flour
  • 1/4 cup honey or maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips (optional)

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a loaf pan with parchment paper for easy removal.
  2. Mash the ripe bananas in a large mixing bowl until they reach a smooth consistency.
  3. Stir in your cocoa powder, protein powder, almond flour, honey or maple syrup, baking powder, vanilla extract, and salt. Mix until fully combined, taking care not to overmix.
  4. Fold in the dairy-free chocolate chips if desired.
  5. Transfer the batter to your prepared loaf pan, smoothing out the top with a spatula.
  6. Bake for 45-50 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  7. Cool in the pan for about 10 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.

Notes

For easy cleanup, line your loaf pan with parchment paper. For a vegan option, use maple syrup and plant-based protein powder.
