- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

- 1 cup warm milk
- 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
- 2 large eggs
- 1 apple, diced (preferably a sweet variety)
- 1/2 cup raisins or currants
- 1/2 cup frosting or icing for drizzling
Instructions
- Combine the all-purpose flour, granulated sugar, instant yeast, salt, ground cinnamon, and nutmeg in a large bowl.
- Whisk together the warm milk, melted butter, and eggs in a separate medium bowl.
- Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, mixing gently until a soft dough forms.
- Fold in the diced apples and raisins.
- Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for 5-10 minutes.
- Place the kneaded dough in a greased bowl, cover with a damp cloth, and let it rise for about 1 hour until doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Punch down the dough and divide it into 12 equal pieces, shaping each into a bun.
- Cover the buns with a cloth and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until golden brown.
- Drizzle with icing or frosting before serving.
Notes
For make-ahead, prepare the dough a day in advance and let it rise in the fridge overnight for richer flavor.
