Frozen Pumpkin Peanut Butter Pup Cups

  • Author: Luna

Ingredients

Scale

For the Frozen Pup Cups

  • 1 cup pumpkin purée (100% pure pumpkin)
  • ¾ cup plain unsweetened Greek yogurt
  • ½ cup natural peanut butter (xylitol-free / no birch sugar)
  • ½ ripe banana, mashed
  • 2–4 tablespoons water, as needed
  • 2 tablespoons old-fashioned rolled oats, optional

Optional Add-Ins

  • ¼ cup fresh blueberries
  • 2 tablespoons finely shredded carrots
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed
  • 1 tablespoon unsweetened coconut flakes
  • A few small banana slices for topping

Instructions

Step 1: Combine the Ingredients

Add the pumpkin purée, Greek yogurt, peanut butter, mashed banana, and optional rolled oats to a blender or mixing bowl.

Step 2: Blend or Stir Until Smooth

Blend or stir until the mixture becomes smooth, thick, and creamy. If it’s too thick to spoon easily, add water a tablespoon at a time until you reach the desired consistency.

Step 3: Fill the Molds

Spoon the mixture into silicone muffin cups, paw molds, or other appropriately sized freezer-safe molds.

Step 4: Add Toppings, If Desired

If desired, press a blueberry, tiny banana slice, or small sprinkle of shredded carrot onto each cup for a decorative finish.

Step 5: Freeze

Place the molds in the freezer and freeze for at least 4 to 6 hours, or until completely solid.

Step 6: Unmold and Store

Once frozen, remove the pup cups from their molds and transfer them to an airtight freezer-safe container.

Step 7: Serve

Serve frozen, or allow a cup to soften for a few minutes before serving, especially for smaller dogs who may find a fully frozen treat too hard to comfortably chew right away
