Ingredients
Scale
- 1 cups plain unsweetened Greek yogurt
- 0.5 cups finely shredded carrots
- 0.3 cups pumpkin purée (100% pure pumpkin)
- 1 ripe banana
- 1 tablespoons natural peanut butter (xylitol-free)
- 1 tablespoons ground flaxseed (optional)
- 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce (optional)
- 0.3 teaspoons ground cinnamon (optional)
- 0.3 cups blueberries (optional)
- 2 tablespoons finely chopped oats (optional)
Instructions
Blend the base: Add the 1 cups plain unsweetened Greek yogurt, 0.5 cups finely shredded carrots, 0.3 cups pumpkin purée (100% pure pumpkin), 1 ripe banana, and 1 tablespoons natural peanut butter (xylitol-free) to a blender or food processor. Blend until smooth and creamy.
Fold in add-ins: If using, gently stir in the 1 tablespoons ground flaxseed (optional), 2 tablespoons unsweetened applesauce (optional), 0.3 teaspoons ground cinnamon (optional), 0.3 cups blueberries (optional), and 2 tablespoons finely chopped oats (optional) after blending, so they keep some texture.
Fill molds: Pour the mixture into silicone paw-print molds, bone-shaped molds, or ice cube trays.
Remove air bubbles: Tap the molds gently on the counter to remove any trapped air bubbles.
Freeze: Freeze until the treats are completely firm.
Unmold and store: Remove the frozen treats from the molds and transfer them to an airtight freezer-safe container. Store in the freezer for up to 2 months.
Serve: Serve one or two frozen treats as a cool reward or snack. Always supervise your dog and adjust serving size based on their size and dietary needs.
Notes
Always check that yogurt and peanut butter are xylitol-free and unsweetened. Use 100% pure pumpkin purée, not pumpkin pie filling. Adjust serving size based on your dog’s size — smaller dogs should get smaller pieces.
