Description

A comforting dessert of tender spiced apples and crispy cake layers, made effortlessly in a Crock Pot.


Ingredients

  • 4 cups apple pie filling
  • 1 box yellow cake mix
  • 1 cup cinnamon sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans (optional)

Instructions

  1. Spray your Crock Pot generously with non-stick cooking spray.
  2. Pour the apple pie filling directly into the bottom of the Crock Pot, spreading it evenly.
  3. Evenly sprinkle the yellow cake mix over the apple filling.
  4. Drizzle the melted butter over the cake mix.
  5. Generously sprinkle the cinnamon sugar and chopped pecans (if using) over the top.
  6. Cover and cook on low for about 240-300 minutes or until the top turns golden brown and the apples start bubbling.
  7. Serve hot with vanilla ice cream if desired.

Notes

You can layer all ingredients in the Crock Pot the night before and cook it when guests arrive for a stress-free dessert.
