- 1 cup unsalted butter, softened
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 4 large eggs
- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a medium-sized loaf pan generously.
- Cream together the softened butter and sugar using an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
- Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
- Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
- Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
