Description

Ingredients

  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a medium-sized loaf pan generously.
  2. Cream together the softened butter and sugar using an electric mixer at medium speed until light and fluffy (3-5 minutes).
  3. Add the eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  4. Stir in the vanilla extract.
  5. Gradually add in the flour and salt, mixing just until combined.
  6. Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan, smoothing the top.
  7. Bake for 60–70 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  8. Allow the cake to cool in the pan for 10 minutes before transferring it to a wire rack to cool completely.
