Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
- Cream together the softened butter and granulated sugar until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.
- Mix in the all-purpose flour and salt until the dough comes together.
- Press the mixture firmly into the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until lightly golden.
- Combine melted caramel, sweetened condensed milk, and vanilla in a separate bowl.
- Pour the caramel mixture over the cooled shortbread base.
- Sprinkle the chopped nuts evenly on top.
- Return to the oven and bake for an additional 15 minutes.
