- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 cup shredded cheese
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup salsa
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp cumin
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 8–10 small flour or corn tortillas
- Cooking spray
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C).
- Cook the ground beef in a large skillet over medium heat until browned, about 5-7 minutes.
- Add diced onions, salsa, garlic powder, cumin, salt, and pepper; cook until onions have softened, about 3-4 minutes.
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese.
- Place a few tablespoons of the beef mixture on each tortilla and roll them tightly.
- Arrange the taquitos seam-side down on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
- Spray the tops lightly with cooking spray.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
- Serve with salsa or guacamole for dipping.
Notes
For a lighter version, substitute ground beef with turkey or use black beans for a vegetarian option. You can also customize by adding jalapeños or corn.
