- 4 chicken breasts
- 1/2 cup honey
- 1/4 cup soy sauce
- 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper flakes
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 cups elbow macaroni
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons butter
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, crushed red pepper flakes, garlic powder, and black pepper.
- Marinate the chicken breasts in the honey mixture for at least 30 minutes.
- Cook the elbow macaroni according to package instructions and drain.
- In a saucepan, melt butter, then add milk and cheese, stirring until melted and creamy.
- Combine the macaroni with the cheese sauce and transfer to a baking dish.
- Place the marinated chicken on top of the macaroni and sprinkle breadcrumbs over the dish.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes or until the chicken is cooked through and the top is golden brown.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- Adjust the amount of red pepper flakes to control the spiciness.
- For a healthier option, use whole wheat macaroni.
- Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
