A delightful and refreshing dessert that combines layers of strawberries, creamy filling, and cake in a lasagna format.

- 1 pound fresh strawberries, sliced
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 package of ladyfinger cookies or sponge cake
- 1 cup milk
Instructions
- In a mixing bowl, beat the heavy cream and powdered sugar until stiff peaks form.
- In another bowl, mix the softened cream cheese and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Fold the whipped cream into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.
- In a 9×13 inch dish, layer half of the ladyfinger cookies or sponge cake at the bottom.
- Pour half of the milk over the cookies to soak them.
- Spread half of the cream mixture over the soaked cookies.
- Add half of the sliced strawberries on top of the cream layer.
- Repeat the layers with the remaining ingredients, finishing with a layer of strawberries on top.
- Refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight before serving.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, you can add a splash of almond extract to the cream mixture.
- Make sure to use fresh strawberries for the best taste.
- This dessert can be made a day in advance for convenience.
