Strawberry Jalapeño Jam: A Sweet and Spicy Delight!

A delicious blend of sweet strawberries and spicy jalapeños, perfect for spreading on toast or using as a glaze.


Ingredients

  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, hulled and chopped
  • 1 cup jalapeños, finely chopped (seeds removed for less heat)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 1 package (1.75 oz) fruit pectin

Instructions

  1. In a large pot, combine the strawberries, jalapeños, and lemon juice.
  2. Add the sugar and stir until well mixed.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring frequently.
  4. Add the fruit pectin and continue to boil for 1-2 minutes, stirring constantly.
  5. Remove from heat and skim off any foam.
  6. Pour the jam into sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  7. Allow to cool at room temperature before refrigerating.

  • Adjust the amount of jalapeños based on your heat preference.
  • This jam can be used as a glaze for meats or as a topping for desserts.
