Description

Delicious strawberry cream puff pastries filled with sweet cream and topped with fresh strawberries.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup water
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 4 large eggs
  • 1 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup powdered sugar
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 2 cups fresh strawberries, sliced

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a saucepan, combine water and butter; bring to a boil.
  3. Stir in flour and salt until the mixture forms a ball.
  4. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  5. Add eggs one at a time, mixing well after each addition.
  6. Drop spoonfuls of the dough onto a baking sheet.
  7. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until golden brown.
  8. Let cool completely.
  9. In a bowl, whip heavy cream with powdered sugar and vanilla until stiff peaks form.
  10. Cut the tops off the cooled pastries and fill with whipped cream and sliced strawberries.
  11. Replace the tops and serve immediately.

Notes

  • Make sure the pastries are completely cool before filling them.
  • For a sweeter filling, adjust the powdered sugar to taste.
  • These pastries are best served fresh but can be stored in the refrigerator for a day.
