Ingredients

  • 9 lasagna noodles
  • 2 cups ricotta cheese
  • 2 cups fresh spinach, chopped
  • 2 cups marinara sauce
  • 2 cups mozzarella cheese, shredded
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions; drain and set aside.
  3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, chopped spinach, egg, garlic powder, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
  4. Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and more marinara sauce.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with noodles, marinara sauce, and the remaining mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Cover with foil and bake for 25 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 15 minutes until bubbly and golden.
  8. Let it cool for a few minutes before slicing and serving.

  • For a vegetarian option, ensure the marinara sauce is meat-free.
  • Feel free to add other vegetables like mushrooms or zucchini for extra flavor.
