A tangy and sweet side dish that adds a kick to any meal.

			- 1 medium head of cabbage, shredded
- 1 cup honey
- 1 cup apple cider vinegar
- 2 tablespoons red pepper flakes
- 1 tablespoon salt
- 1 teaspoon black pepper
- 1 cup water
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage and salt. Let it sit for 30 minutes to wilt.
- In a saucepan, combine honey, apple cider vinegar, water, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and bring to a boil.
- Once boiling, remove from heat and let the mixture cool slightly.
- Pour the honey mixture over the wilted cabbage and mix well.
- Transfer the mixture to a clean jar and seal tightly.
- Refrigerate for at least 24 hours before serving to allow flavors to meld.
Notes
- For extra heat, add more red pepper flakes.
- This dish can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 weeks.
- Great as a topping for tacos or sandwiches.
