A deliciously unique preserve combining the sweetness of apricots with the heat of jalapeños, perfect for spreading on toast or pairing with cheese.
Ingredients

- 2 cups dried apricots
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 cup water
- 2 jalapeños, finely chopped
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon ground cloves
Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine dried apricots, sugar, and water. Bring to a boil over medium heat.
- Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Add chopped jalapeños, lemon juice, cinnamon, ginger, and cloves. Stir well.
- Continue to simmer for another 15-20 minutes until the mixture thickens.
- Remove from heat and let cool slightly before transferring to sterilized jars.
- Seal jars and let them cool completely before storing in the refrigerator.

- Adjust the amount of jalapeños based on your heat preference.
- This preserve can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 months.
