Instructions

  1. In a pot, bring water or chicken broth to a boil and add grits. Cook according to package instructions until creamy.
  2. In a skillet, cook bacon over medium heat until crispy. Remove bacon and set aside, leaving the drippings in the skillet.
  3. Add shrimp to the skillet and season with paprika, salt, and pepper. Cook until shrimp are pink and cooked through.
  4. Add garlic and green onions to the skillet and sauté for an additional minute.
  5. Stir in the cooked grits and cheddar cheese until well combined.
  6. Serve the shrimp mixture over the cheesy grits and top with crispy bacon.
