- 3–4 lbs pork roast
- 1 cup chicken broth
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
- 2 tablespoons cornstarch (optional, for thickening gravy)
- Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Place the pork roast in the slow cooker.
- In a bowl, mix together the chicken broth, chopped onion, minced garlic, Worcestershire sauce, thyme, salt, and pepper.
- Pour the mixture over the pork roast in the slow cooker.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or until the pork is tender.
- If desired, remove the pork roast and whisk in cornstarch mixed with a little water to thicken the gravy.
- Slice the pork roast and serve with the gravy, garnished with fresh parsley if desired.
Notes
- For best results, use a bone-in pork roast.
- Adjust seasoning to taste.
- This dish pairs well with mashed potatoes or rice.
