- 1/2 cup soy sauce
- 1/2 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 cup water
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
- 1 tablespoon minced ginger
- 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
- 1/4 cup green onions, chopped
Instructions
- In a slow cooker, combine soy sauce, brown sugar, water, garlic, ginger, and red pepper flakes.
- Add the sliced flank steak to the slow cooker and stir to coat the beef in the sauce.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours or on high for 3-4 hours until the beef is tender.
- Before serving, stir in the chopped green onions.
- Serve over rice or noodles for a complete meal.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, you can mix 1 tablespoon of cornstarch with 2 tablespoons of water and stir it into the slow cooker during the last 30 minutes of cooking.
