  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 24 ounces marinara sauce
  • 15 ounces ricotta cheese
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. In a skillet, brown the ground beef with the chopped onion and minced garlic. Drain excess fat.
  2. Stir in the marinara sauce and let it simmer for a few minutes.
  3. In a bowl, mix the ricotta cheese, egg, salt, and pepper until well combined.
  4. Spread a layer of the meat sauce on the bottom of the slow cooker.
  5. Layer 3 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and more meat sauce.
  6. Repeat the layers, finishing with a layer of noodles, remaining meat sauce, and the rest of the mozzarella and Parmesan cheese on top.
  7. Cover and cook on low for 4-6 hours or until the noodles are tender and the cheese is melted.
  8. Let it sit for 10-15 minutes before serving to set.
