- 2 pounds beef stew meat
- 1 onion, chopped
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- 8 ounces mushrooms, sliced
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 cup sour cream
- 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- Cooked egg noodles for serving
Instructions
- Place the beef stew meat in the slow cooker.
- Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, and sliced mushrooms.
- Pour in the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce.
- Sprinkle paprika, salt, and pepper over the top.
- Cover and cook on low for 7-8 hours or high for 4-5 hours.
- In a small bowl, mix the sour cream and flour together.
- Stir the sour cream mixture into the slow cooker about 30 minutes before serving.
- Serve over cooked egg noodles.
Notes
- For a thicker sauce, you can add more flour.
- Feel free to add other vegetables like carrots or peas.
- This dish can be made a day ahead and reheated.
