Ingredients

Scale
  • 500g bread flour
  • 350g water
  • 100g active sourdough starter
  • 10g salt
  • 2 tablespoons everything bagel seasoning

Instructions

  1. Combine the bread flour and salt in a large mixing bowl, mixing thoroughly.
  2. Mix together the sourdough starter and water until smooth.
  3. Pour the starter-water mixture into the flour mixture, stirring until a shaggy dough forms.
  4. Let the dough rest for 30 minutes.
  5. Stretch and fold the dough every 30 minutes for 2-3 hours.
  6. Shape the dough into a round boule, tucking edges under.
  7. Rise the shaped dough for about an hour.
  8. Preheat the oven to 450°F (230°C).
  9. Transfer the boule onto a baking stone or sheet lined with parchment paper.
  10. Sprinkle the top with everything bagel seasoning.
  11. Bake for 30-35 minutes until golden brown.
  12. Cool on a wire rack for at least 30 minutes before slicing.

Notes

For best results, ensure your sourdough starter is bubbly and active before use. This recipe can also be mixed the night before for enhanced flavor.
