- 1 pound Brussels sprouts, trimmed and halved
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1/4 cup maple syrup
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup chopped pecans (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, toss the Brussels sprouts with olive oil, maple syrup, salt, and pepper.
- Spread the Brussels sprouts on a baking sheet in a single layer.
- Roast in the preheated oven for 20-25 minutes, stirring halfway through, until they are tender and caramelized.
- If using, sprinkle chopped pecans over the Brussels sprouts during the last 5 minutes of roasting.
- Remove from the oven and serve warm.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add a pinch of red pepper flakes.
- Can be made ahead and reheated before serving.
- Adjust the amount of maple syrup based on your sweetness preference.
