Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, cocoa powder, sugar, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together buttermilk, egg, red food coloring, and vanilla extract.
- Combine the wet and dry ingredients until a dough forms.
- Roll out the dough into a rectangle and fold it to create layers.
- Chill the dough for at least 30 minutes.
- Roll out the dough again and cut into triangles.
- Place a dollop of cream cheese mixture on each triangle and roll them up.
- Place the croissants on a baking sheet and let them rise for 20 minutes.
- Bake in a preheated oven at 375°F (190°C) for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
