Ingredients

  • 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or mozzarella)
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 package of refrigerated dinner rolls (or soft buns)
  • 1 tablespoon melted butter
  • Optional: chopped herbs (e.g., parsley or chives) for garnish

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Combine the shredded chicken, cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
  3. Roll out the dinner rolls or buns and flatten each piece slightly.
  4. Place a spoonful of the chicken and cheese mixture in the center of each roll and fold it over to seal.
  5. Arrange the filled buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
  6. Brush the tops with melted butter.
  7. Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
  8. Garnish with chopped herbs if desired, and serve warm.

Notes

Prepare the filling a day in advance for quicker assembly. Can also be made in an air fryer, adjusting cooking time to 10-12 minutes.
