Ingredients

- 2 cups cooked chicken, shredded
- 1 cup shredded cheese (Cheddar or mozzarella)
- 1/2 cup mayonnaise
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon onion powder
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1 package of refrigerated dinner rolls (or soft buns)
- 1 tablespoon melted butter
- Optional: chopped herbs (e.g., parsley or chives) for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Combine the shredded chicken, cheese, mayonnaise, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper in a mixing bowl.
- Roll out the dinner rolls or buns and flatten each piece slightly.
- Place a spoonful of the chicken and cheese mixture in the center of each roll and fold it over to seal.
- Arrange the filled buns on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Brush the tops with melted butter.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes until golden and cooked through.
- Garnish with chopped herbs if desired, and serve warm.
Notes
Prepare the filling a day in advance for quicker assembly. Can also be made in an air fryer, adjusting cooking time to 10-12 minutes.
