A delicious twist on the classic Philly cheesesteak, this Tater Tot Casserole combines savory beef, melted cheese, and crispy tater tots for a comforting meal.

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 onion, diced
- 1 green bell pepper, diced
- 2 cups shredded provolone cheese
- 1 bag (32 oz) frozen tater tots
- 1 cup beef broth
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a skillet, cook the ground beef over medium heat until browned. Drain excess fat.
- Add the diced onion and green bell pepper to the skillet and cook until softened.
- Stir in the beef broth and season with salt and pepper. Simmer for a few minutes.
- In a greased casserole dish, layer the beef mixture, followed by half of the provolone cheese.
- Top with the frozen tater tots, then sprinkle the remaining cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the tater tots are golden brown and crispy.
- Let cool for a few minutes before serving.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add garlic powder or Worcestershire sauce to the beef mixture.
- Feel free to substitute the provolone cheese with your favorite cheese.
- This casserole can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
