Description

A delicious twist on traditional meatloaf, combining the flavors of a Philly cheesesteak with a hearty meatloaf.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground beef
  • 1 lb ground pork
  • 1 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup diced onions
  • 1/2 cup diced green bell pepper
  • 1 cup shredded provolone cheese
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tsp garlic powder
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup ketchup (for topping)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, milk, onions, bell pepper, provolone cheese, eggs, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
  3. Mix until well combined.
  4. Transfer the mixture to a loaf pan and shape it into a loaf.
  5. Spread ketchup on top of the meatloaf.
  6. Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (70°C).
  7. Let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sautéed mushrooms to the meat mixture.
  • Serve with a side of mashed potatoes or a fresh salad.
  • Leftovers can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
