Ingredients

  • 1 box of chocolate cake mix
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1 cup of water
  • 1/2 cup of vegetable oil
  • 1 can of chocolate frosting
  • 12 Oreo cookies
  • 24 candy corn pieces
  • 24 mini marshmallows
  • Black and orange food coloring

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and line a cupcake pan with cupcake liners.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the chocolate cake mix, eggs, water, and vegetable oil. Mix until smooth.
  3. Pour the batter into the cupcake liners, filling each about 2/3 full.
  4. Bake for 18-20 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Allow the cupcakes to cool completely.
  6. Frost each cupcake with chocolate frosting.
  7. To create the penguin, cut the Oreo cookies in half and place them on top of the frosting for the penguin’s body.
  8. Use mini marshmallows for the penguin’s head and attach candy corn pieces for the beak.
  9. Use black and orange food coloring to add details to the penguin’s face.
