- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups ricotta cheese
- 3 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 cups marinara sauce
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tablespoon Italian seasoning
- 1/2 cup fresh basil, chopped
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Cook the lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and cool.
- In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Spread a layer of marinara sauce on the bottom of a baking dish.
- Layer 4 lasagna noodles over the sauce, followed by half of the ricotta mixture, a third of the mozzarella, and a sprinkle of Parmesan.
- Repeat the layers, ending with noodles topped with marinara sauce and remaining mozzarella and Parmesan.
- Cover the dish with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 4 hours or overnight.
- Before serving, garnish with fresh basil.
