Delicious meatballs filled with gooey mozzarella cheese, perfect for a hearty meal.
Ingredients

- 1 lb ground beef
- 1/2 lb ground pork
- 1 cup breadcrumbs
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1/4 cup chopped parsley
- 1 egg
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 8 oz mozzarella cheese, cut into small cubes
- 2 cups marinara sauce
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, combine ground beef, ground pork, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, garlic, salt, and pepper.
- Mix until well combined.
- Take a small amount of the meat mixture and flatten it in your hand.
- Place a cube of mozzarella in the center and wrap the meat around it, forming a ball.
- Repeat until all the meat mixture is used.
- Place the meatballs on a baking sheet and bake for 20-25 minutes, or until cooked through.
- In a saucepan, heat the marinara sauce over medium heat.
- Once the meatballs are cooked, add them to the sauce and simmer for 5 minutes.
- Serve hot with pasta or on a sub roll.
Notes
- For extra flavor, add Italian seasoning to the meat mixture.
- These meatballs can be frozen before baking for later use.
- Serve with fresh basil for garnish.
