A deliciously moist poke cake inspired by the flavors of Mounds candy bars, featuring chocolate cake, coconut, and a rich chocolate frosting.

- 1 box chocolate cake mix
- 1 cup water
- 1/2 cup vegetable oil
- 3 large eggs
- 1 can (14 oz) sweetened condensed milk
- 1 cup shredded coconut
- 1 cup chocolate frosting
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Prepare the chocolate cake mix according to package instructions using water, vegetable oil, and eggs.
- Pour the batter into a greased 9×13 inch baking pan and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Once baked, remove the cake from the oven and let it cool for 10 minutes.
- Using the end of a wooden spoon, poke holes all over the top of the cake.
- Pour the sweetened condensed milk over the cake, ensuring it seeps into the holes.
- Sprinkle shredded coconut evenly over the top of the cake.
- Spread chocolate frosting over the coconut layer.
- If desired, sprinkle chocolate chips on top for extra flavor.
- Refrigerate the cake for at least 2 hours before serving to allow the flavors to meld.
Notes
- For a richer flavor, use dark chocolate cake mix.
