Description

A sweet and spicy treat made from mixed peppers that adds a kick to any dish.


Ingredients

  • 1 cup red bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup yellow bell peppers, sliced
  • 1 cup green bell peppers, sliced
  • 2 cups sugar
  • 1 cup apple cider vinegar
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper

Instructions

  1. Prepare the peppers by slicing them into rings.
  2. In a large pot, combine sugar, apple cider vinegar, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, turmeric, and black pepper.
  3. Bring the mixture to a boil over medium heat, stirring until the sugar dissolves.
  4. Add the sliced peppers to the pot and stir well to coat.
  5. Reduce heat and simmer for about 10 minutes.
  6. Remove from heat and let cool slightly.
  7. Transfer the mixture to sterilized jars and seal tightly.
  8. Let the jars sit at room temperature for 24 hours, then refrigerate.

Notes

  • These can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 2 months.
  • Great as a topping for burgers, sandwiches, or as a side dish.
  • Adjust the amount of cayenne pepper to control the heat level.
