Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 package Oreo cookies
  • 8 oz cream cheese, softened
  • 1 tsp peppermint extract
  • 8 oz chocolate (milk or dark) for coating
  • Sprinkles or crushed Oreos for garnish (optional)

Instructions

  1. Crush the Oreo cookies in a food processor or zip-top bag until fine crumbs form. Transfer to a large mixing bowl.
  2. Combine softened cream cheese and peppermint extract with the Oreo crumbs until fully mixed and a dough forms.
  3. Form the mixture into small balls about the size of a tablespoon and place on a lined baking sheet.
  4. Freeze the truffles for about 30 minutes to firm up.
  5. Melt the chocolate in a microwave-safe bowl, stirring every 30 seconds until smooth.
  6. Dip each chilled truffle in the melted chocolate, coating completely and allowing excess chocolate to drip off.
  7. Garnish with crushed Oreos or sprinkles while the chocolate is still wet.
  8. Let the truffles set in the refrigerator until the chocolate hardens completely.
