Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
- In a large bowl, mix flour, baking powder, and salt.
- Add the cold butter and mix until the mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
- Stir in the chopped pecans.
- In a separate bowl, combine maple syrup, heavy cream, and vanilla extract.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until just combined.
- Turn the dough onto a floured surface and knead gently.
- Shape the dough into a circle about 1 inch thick and cut into wedges.
- Place the scones on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.
- Bake for 15-20 minutes or until golden brown.
