- 12 lasagna noodles
- 2 cups Bolognese sauce
- 2 cups béchamel sauce
- 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 2 tablespoons olive oil
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 pound ground beef
- 1 can (14 oz) crushed tomatoes
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Fresh basil for garnish
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add chopped onion and minced garlic, sauté until translucent.
- Add ground beef to the skillet, cook until browned. Stir in crushed tomatoes, season with salt and pepper, and simmer for 20 minutes.
- Cook lasagna noodles according to package instructions, then drain and set aside.
- In a baking dish, spread a layer of Bolognese sauce, followed by a layer of noodles, then a layer of béchamel sauce. Repeat the layers until all ingredients are used, finishing with béchamel on top.
- Sprinkle grated Parmesan and shredded mozzarella cheese on top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until the top is golden and bubbly.
- Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh basil.
Notes
- For a vegetarian version, substitute ground beef with lentils or mushrooms.
- Make sure to use fresh pasta for a softer texture.
- Can be prepared ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
