- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1/4 cup butter, melted
- 4 large egg yolks
- 1 can (14 ounces) sweetened condensed milk
- 1/2 cup fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon lime zest
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Whipped cream for serving (optional)
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
- Mix graham cracker crumbs, sugar, and melted butter in a medium bowl until combined.
- Press the mixture into a 9-inch pie dish to form an even crust.
- Bake the crust for about 8 minutes until lightly golden. Remove from the oven and let cool completely.
- Whisk the egg yolks and sweetened condensed milk together in a separate bowl until smooth.
- Add fresh lime juice, lime zest, and salt, whisking until well combined.
- Pour the lime filling into the cooled crust and bake for an additional 15–20 minutes, until the filling is set.
- Remove from the oven and let cool to room temperature. Refrigerate for at least 3 hours before serving.
- Serve chilled with whipped cream if desired.
