Description

A delicious and healthy dish featuring shrimp and sausage stuffed in cabbage leaves, perfect for a keto diet.


Ingredients

  • 1 head of cabbage
  • 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
  • 1 pound sausage, cooked and crumbled
  • 1 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1 onion, chopped
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch the cabbage leaves for 2-3 minutes until softened.
  3. In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
  4. Add shrimp, sausage, diced tomatoes, and Cajun seasoning to the skillet and cook until shrimp are pink.
  5. Place a portion of the shrimp and sausage mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
  6. Place the stuffed cabbage rolls in a baking dish and top with shredded cheese if desired.
  7. Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until heated through.

Notes

  • Feel free to adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to your taste.
  • These can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
  • For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the filling.
