- 1 head of cabbage
- 1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined
- 1 pound sausage, cooked and crumbled
- 1 cup diced tomatoes
- 1 onion, chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
- 1 cup shredded cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
- Bring a large pot of water to a boil and blanch the cabbage leaves for 2-3 minutes until softened.
- In a skillet, sauté onion and garlic until translucent.
- Add shrimp, sausage, diced tomatoes, and Cajun seasoning to the skillet and cook until shrimp are pink.
- Place a portion of the shrimp and sausage mixture onto each cabbage leaf and roll tightly.
- Place the stuffed cabbage rolls in a baking dish and top with shredded cheese if desired.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes until heated through.
Notes
- Feel free to adjust the level of Cajun seasoning to your taste.
- These can be made ahead of time and stored in the refrigerator before baking.
- For a spicier version, add diced jalapeños to the filling.
