Instructions
- In a saucepan, combine vinegar, water, sugar, and salt. Heat over medium until sugar and salt dissolve.
- Remove from heat and stir in lime juice.
- Place sliced onions and jalapeños in a jar.
- Pour the vinegar mixture over the onions and jalapeños, ensuring they are fully submerged.
- Let cool to room temperature, then seal the jar and refrigerate.
- Allow to pickle for at least 1 hour before serving for best flavor.
