Description

A deliciously crispy Reuben sandwich that combines savory corned beef, tangy sauerkraut, and melted cheese, all grilled to perfection.


Ingredients

  • 2 slices of rye bread
  • 4 oz corned beef
  • 2 oz Swiss cheese
  • 1/4 cup sauerkraut
  • 2 tbsp butter
  • 1 tbsp Russian or Thousand Island dressing

Instructions

  1. Butter one side of each slice of rye bread.
  2. Spread dressing on the unbuttered side of one slice.
  3. Layer corned beef, sauerkraut, and Swiss cheese on top of the dressing.
  4. Top with the second slice of bread, buttered side up.
  5. Heat a skillet over medium heat and place the sandwich in the skillet.
  6. Cook until golden brown, about 4-5 minutes, then flip and cook the other side until golden and the cheese is melted.
  7. Remove from skillet, slice in half, and serve hot.

Notes

  • For extra crunch, use a panini press.
  • Feel free to add pickles for an extra tangy flavor.
