Honey Garlic Chicken with Roasted Broccoli and Rice that Delights!

A delicious and easy-to-make dish featuring tender honey garlic chicken served with roasted broccoli and fluffy rice.


Ingredients

  • 1 lb chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/4 cup soy sauce
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups broccoli florets
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup rice
  • 2 cups water
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a bowl, mix honey, soy sauce, and minced garlic.
  3. Add chicken pieces to the bowl and marinate for at least 30 minutes.
  4. While the chicken is marinating, rinse the rice under cold water.
  5. In a pot, bring 2 cups of water to a boil, add rice, and reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer for 18-20 minutes.
  6. On a baking sheet, toss broccoli florets with olive oil, salt, and pepper. Roast in the oven for 15-20 minutes.
  7. In a skillet, cook the marinated chicken over medium heat until fully cooked, about 5-7 minutes.
  8. Serve the honey garlic chicken over rice with roasted broccoli on the side.

Notes

  • For extra flavor, add sesame seeds on top before serving.
  • Adjust the amount of honey based on your sweetness preference.
  • Leftovers can be stored in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 3 days.
