- 1 teaspoon Ground cinnamon
- 1 large Egg
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1 whole Fresh pineapple
- 2 cups Vegetable oil
- 1 tablespoon Additional cinnamon and sugar
Instructions
- Prepare the Pineapple: Slice your fresh pineapple into rings and then cut those rings into smaller bite-sized pieces.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, granulated sugar, baking powder, salt, and ground cinnamon.
- Beat the Egg: In another bowl, beat your egg and combine it with the milk.
- Combine Wet and Dry Ingredients: Pour the wet mixture into the bowl with dry ingredients, gently stirring.
- Fold in Pineapple: Gently fold the pineapple pieces into the batter until evenly distributed.
- Heat the Oil: In your frying pan or deep fryer, heat the oil until shimmering but not smoking.
- Fry the Batter: Using tongs, carefully scoop spoonfuls of the batter mixture and drop them into the hot oil.
- Drain Excess Oil: Once crispy, remove fritters and place them on paper towels.
- Finish with Cinnamon Sugar: In a small bowl, mix the additional cinnamon and sugar together and sprinkle generously over your fritters.
