- 1 lb ground beef
- 4 Hatch chiles, roasted and chopped
- 4 burger buns
- 4 slices of cheese (optional)
- Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
- Preheat your grill or skillet over medium-high heat.
- Form the ground beef into four equal balls.
- Place the balls on the grill and smash them down with a spatula to form patties.
- Season the patties with salt and pepper.
- Cook for about 3-4 minutes on one side, then flip.
- Add the chopped Hatch chiles on top of the patties and place a slice of cheese if desired.
- Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes until the cheese is melted and the burgers are cooked to your liking.
- Toast the burger buns on the grill for a minute.
- Assemble the burgers with your choice of condiments and toppings.
- Serve hot and enjoy!
