Greek Turkey Meatballs & Tzatziki: A Flavorful Delight!

Ingredients

  • 1 lb ground turkey
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp dried oregano
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp black pepper
  • 1/2 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1/2 cucumber, grated
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 clove garlic, minced (for tzatziki)
  • Salt to taste (for tzatziki)

Instructions

  1. Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
  2. In a large bowl, combine ground turkey, breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, egg, minced garlic, oregano, salt, and pepper. Mix until well combined.
  3. Form the mixture into meatballs, about 1 inch in diameter, and place them on a baking sheet.
  4. Bake the meatballs for 20-25 minutes or until cooked through and golden brown.
  5. While the meatballs are baking, prepare the tzatziki sauce by mixing Greek yogurt, grated cucumber, lemon juice, minced garlic, and salt in a bowl.
  6. Once the meatballs are done, serve them warm with the tzatziki sauce on the side.

Notes

  • For a spicier kick, add red pepper flakes to the meatball mixture.
  • These meatballs can be served with pita bread or over a salad.
  • Leftover meatballs can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
