Description

Deliciously cheesy garlic butter bombs that are perfect for any occasion, creating a gooey, savory experience with every bite.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons sugar
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup butter, melted
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped

Instructions

  1. Activate the yeast: In a small bowl, combine warm water, yeast, and sugar. Let this mixture sit for about 5 minutes until it bubbles and foams.
  2. Make the dough: In a large mixing bowl, whisk together flour and salt. Create a well in the center, add the yeast mixture and olive oil, then knead until smooth, about 5-7 minutes.
  3. Let it rise: Cover the dough with a towel and let it rise in a warm location for about an hour, or until it doubles in size.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Shape the bombs: Punch down the risen dough, divide into golf ball-sized pieces, flatten each piece, add mozzarella cheese, and shape back into a ball.
  6. Arrange on the baking sheet: Place dough balls on a greased sheet with space between them.
  7. Mix garlic butter: Combine melted butter with minced garlic and parsley, then brush over each dough ball.
  8. Bake: Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Serve warm: Enjoy immediately while the cheese is still gooey!

Notes

For make-ahead tips, prepare the dough a day in advance and let it rise in the fridge overnight. For a spicy version, add crushed red pepper flakes to the garlic butter mixture.
