Ingredients

  • 1 box (3 oz) flavored Jello powder (any flavor)
  • ¼ teaspoon cream of tartar
  • ½ teaspoon vanilla extract

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 200°F (95°C).
  2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
  3. In a clean bowl, whisk the egg whites on medium speed until frothy.
  4. Add cream of tartar and increase the speed, beating until soft peaks form.
  5. Gradually add sugar on high speed, beating until the meringue is glossy and stiff peaks form.
  6. Gently mix in Jello powder and vanilla extract until combined.
  7. Using a piping bag fitted with a star tip, pipe small mounds onto the baking sheet.
  8. Bake for 1.5 to 2 hours until dry to the touch and lift easily from parchment paper.
  9. Let the cookies cool in the oven with the door slightly ajar for about an hour.
  10. Store in an airtight container at room temperature.
