Description
A delicious and easy-to-make dessert that combines rich chocolate cake with a gooey hot fudge sauce, all cooked in a crockpot.
Ingredients

- 1 cup all-purpose flour
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons baking powder
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 cup milk
- 1/4 cup vegetable oil
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup hot water
- 1/2 cup chocolate chips (optional)
Instructions
- In a large bowl, mix together flour, granulated sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
- Add milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract to the dry ingredients and stir until well combined.
- Pour the batter into the crockpot.
- In a separate bowl, mix brown sugar and hot water until dissolved, then pour over the batter in the crockpot.
- If using, sprinkle chocolate chips on top.
- Cover and cook on low for 2-3 hours or until the cake is set and the fudge sauce is bubbling.
- Serve warm, optionally with ice cream or whipped cream.
Notes
- Make sure to not lift the lid during cooking to ensure even baking.
- For a richer flavor, add a pinch of espresso powder to the batter.
- This dessert is best served warm.
